Sources are reporting Ilyas Kashmiri, the leader a group that specialised in co-ordinated multiple strikes on targets in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, and a key commander in al-Qaeda, was killed in the South Waziristan province of Pakistan by a U.S. drone strike.

Seems to me this is how we should have been fighting al-Qaeda all along rather than trying to occupy foreign nations half a world away. But that's another thread and an issue that has been debated before.

Regardless, score one for the good guys.

Badass. Let's hope we get more of the bastards.

I love being American.

So?

We can kill the #X guy in Al Qaeda every day for the rest of time and never win.

I was talking to a smart dude this morning whose quote I will steal: "We as a military, a political system and a nation are too ****ing stupid to win this."

I agree wholeheartedly with his assessment.

We should simply pull out of A'stan and use our resources to track and kill them as they present themselves. Let Karzai and club deal with their own problems.
