I had a customer bring me a model 28 smith that I could take to the limits.

It started out as a nice old gun I milled of the front sight and plunged hole for a pin on front.

Then the body work started and I spent about 15hr with a sanding block to get the gun ready for finish.

We decided to use a gold bead sight there are lots of ways to install this sight but I chose a method that would look the most true to its age.

The grips were special order and I spent 5hr getting them to fit the gun the way a custom set of grips should then they got 10 coats of hand rubbed oil to make them feel like they should.

This gun got all the body work plus bob the hammer, trigger reconteur, action job, crown, cylinder face polish, straiten the ejector rod, and a lot of love.

I'll say the same thing I say about all of your picture posts. You do nice work!

I took one look at this and said to myself that this gun now needs a custom made Tom Three-Person's holster, with a lot of tool work on the leather, to carry it in.

This thing would be a joy to shoot.

Thanks guys

I love the model 28 it is a real work horse and they truly have sole.
They are just steel and wood but somehow they are part of me that I cannot shake.
We are all better for having been around one.

What no hard chrome? That is one purdy pistol and should be the talk at the BBQ.

That wheel gun is far too classy to be a BBQ. To be a true BBQ, it needs gold engraving or, better yet, gold plating.....
