I have 500 rounds of 147gr HST on order to test in my G26. My G26 mags are fitted with the GAP floorplate. So far, I love them. My reloads are all G19 mags.

Any known issues with the longer OAL of the 147gr HST causing feeding issues when loaded in a G19 mag and then placed in the G26?

I've used 124's in my G19/G26 combo many times before, but never the 147. No issues with the 124's, but I also have not been able to shoot all my G19 mags in all my G26's strong hand, off hand, crush grip, soft intentionally limp grip, etc, so I don't really know how the G19 mag will work in my G26 under all conditions with all my mags.

Adding a longer OAL 147 may be making a questionable situation worse, or it may not be an issue at all.

You ordered 500 rounds of a premium defense load to find out if it runs in your G26? Good on ya mate. ;)

Never have had a problem with Fed 147 gr HST or Win 147 gr Ranger Talon in G19 or G26's, using any type of standard capacity magazine.

I also use Fed 147 gr HST and Win 147 gr Ranger Talons in my G19 and G26 without any issues using the 26 or 19 mags.

I have been carrying/shooting 147gr HST's for years in my 26's with no problems, including my Gen4 Glock 26...

Thanks to all who responded, but I may not have stated my question properly. I'm not too concerned with the reliability of the 147 in my G26 mags, I'm concerned with them in my G19 mags when the G19 mag is loaded into my G26. This is actually what the 500 round test is primarily for.

I've heard some say that G19 or G17 mags in a G26 can cause feeding issues.

I've used perhaps 2000+ rounds of WWB 115gr and several hundred 124gr HST in my G26 - perhaps 50% fed through several G19 mags - all without issue. I was wondering if the longer OAL of the 147gr round had caused any feeding issues with anyone on this board who loaded G19 (or G17 mags) into a G26.

No stoppages for me regardless what mag I had in my 26, including the 33 round mags!

You shouldn't have any isssues if your gun runs ok with the stock 26 mag.

It's my understanding that the main issues from using extended mags in G26's is that shooters can accidently push up on them with their pinky finger which can induce stoppages.

Are these induced stoppages reported to vary in frequency between the G19 or G17 mags in the G26? Any demonstrated relation between progressive magazine length and malfunction occurrence, in this example?

As noted above, I've never seen any problems when using any standard capacity 9mm Glock mag (15, 17, 33 rds) in a G26 or G19...

On a slightly related note, DocGKR, are you familiar with any function/reliability issues regarding the GAP G26 floorplates referenced by the OP, such as have been reported with other aftermarket brands (Pearce, etc)?

I am not the Doc, but I have thousands of rounds through one of my 26's using GAP floor plates with no issues or stoppages. I thing the early and maybe some current extensions didnt lock into the insert piece in the bottom of the mag and could therefore release itself puking ammo all over the place. I have heard about this, and I believe most manufs have corrected for this. I use Glock +2 extensions for my 26 and they are great. It is still ever so "slightly" smaller than the 19, but it matters for my build and concelament.

My take on using larger standard cap mags, like the 33 rounder specifically is that people who experience stoppages with them my be breaking their wrists during the course of fire. I remember my first 33 round mag out of a 9mm Glock, I was literally thinking the damn thing was belt fed as she just kept on shooting! Near the end of the string I remember concentrating to keep my grip pressure up so I didnt limp wrist the gun. I *think* this may be why some folks have problems with that particular magazine. Lock your slide back and insert an empty 19/17/18 mag and wiggle it around. There is some play, but not that much to matter it seems.

Just my experience on it...

I've had no issues with reliability or accuracy shooting 147 gr HST through any number of G19s and G26s. You should be fine.
