building a more precision type lower for it but had to throw the upper on something and put some kind of optic on it and i had the T1 sitting around. most likely getting a Vortex PST 2-10 or a NF 2-10 we'll see.

That's the AA $260 16" tube, correct? I have one, and I'm quite impressed with the accuracy. Mine comes in at about 6.5 lbs sans mag, so the weight is nice. I bet you'll enjoy that one. Give us the range report when you have a chance.

6.5 Grendel is a great cartridge! I built my firt Grendel, a 24" several years ago with an AA barrel and it rocks, but I gotntired of lugging around the long beast when hunting deer and pigs. Two years ago I built my second with a Satern Spartan barrel and a 12" DD Lite Rail, this set-up is light and great for hunting and still does great for long range use. Both are extremely accurate and shoot well less than 1/2 MOA. The satern barrel shot great out of the box, but the AA barrel took about 400 rounds to start seeing it's full accuracy potential. Let us know how it shoots, and don't worry it will drop the pigs in thier tracks!

thanx guys i'm stoked i got it closer to where i want it now. only thing its missing now is the geissele trigger and i have a brake for it but i have to turn it down to barrel size.

Great looking rifles. I have a 6.5 build on my list of things to do. I have a lot of things on that list, sadly it is limited by a budget. :sad:
