Just a heads up. I'm not affiliated with AIM in any way. I know a lot of folks (myself included) like to tote a 642 on occasion.
The one shown in the link is a no-lock. :D

Yes, that was what caught my eye. Cash price around here on a new 642 with a lock is around $380 to $400. The ones without a lock usually get a bit more, about $430 or so.
If these are like most police trade-ins, they have been carried a lot, but shot very little.
And Crimson Trace has that $50 rebate until June 30th. Makes it even more tempting.
Grant might be able to get you a deal this good with officer pricing, but you would have to ask him.
I bet you could make a sweet holster for it! :D

Neat - thanks for the info. That's a really good deal.
If I could get a new one without the lock for $361, I'd be on that like a fat chick at a wedding buffet.
That's definitely a better deal, if they don't have the lock.
And add an Apex J-frame kit, and you will be set. I installed one and love it.

I'm afraid I'm no officer. As for holsters, I do have a couple of J Frame revolvers here, including one 642. Can't believe I've neglected to make a holster for one, but now that you mention it...

You guys will have to be more specific. I have a 640 and a 642. If you email me your specs, to seraph@secretcityweaponeers.com, I'll add this to the huge pile of stuff I have to do. Hey, who needs sleep, right?

Thank you for the kind offer. I'll shoot you an email.
And you are no doubt familiar with the old saying: "The best never rest." :D
