Next week our forecast in CenTX is scattered t-storms starting tues going through into the weekend.

Last month I read on the tx gov website we need at least 5" of rain in a short period of time just to generate run off into the lakes. The soil is so dry even if we got a few inches it would create little to no run off due to absorption.

This was taken on Parmer and 1431:

AFTERNOON HIGHS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WILL BE IN THE UPPER 90S TO NEAR 101 ACROSS THE HILL COUNTRY AND NEAR 100 TO NEAR 105 OVER ADJACENT PARTS OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS. THE DRY SOILS WILL HELP KEEP THE HUMIDITY LOWER THAN USUAL IN THE DAY. THE COMBINATION OF BREEZY WINDS AND LOWER HUMIDITY THAN USUAL WILL CONTINUE IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
