Could someone weigh a complete BCG from an Armalite AR-10 so that I could compare it to the weight of a DPMS BCG. Thanks
Background - I installed an AR-10 carbine receiver extension, buffer and buffer spring on my DPMS lower and the ejection shows signs of the recoiling mass moving too quickly. The only thing I can attribute this to is the DPMS BCG. Armalite's carrier is obviously heavier because of the way it is manufactured, so I think I can slow the BCG down if I can add the difference in weight between the two with a heavier buffer. A lighter spring would probably work, too, but I wouldn't have any idea what spring to use. The Armalite BC is out of the question because of the price and the fact that they are on back-order.
