Hello,
Search fu didn't bring any conclusions. I have used the VTAC padded sling and it works very well. I have a new rifle (BCM LW 16 Middy on an old RRA lower) and want to get a sling for it. Anyone have the Vickers sling? Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you. Sorry if my search fu efforts suck.

The padded Vickers VCAS & AA are the only slings I use now. I went through a sling experimentation phase and have owned at least 10 different manufacturers, (including the VTAC sling.) I found the VTAC to have too much tail, and could not get use to the excess material on the sling. I have heard if you put time into them, they work well, but I didnt I suppose.

I'm partial to the Blue Force Gear VCAS sling myself.

The consensus (from some prior posts on this subject) is that the Vickers sling has better quality materials than the VTAC sling.

Either way, you're better off with an adjustable two point sling than no sling. :jester:

Search of the word "sling," limited to thread titles only and to the Tactical Gear subforum nets 135 hits: https://www.m4carbine.net/search.php?searchid=3189458

This "search-fu sucks" crap that so many of these threads start with is a pantload. There's been 22 sling threads THIS YEAR ALONE.

A Search for a 5-letter word (maybe 6, if one goes freaking PLURAL *gasp*) is not the bloody Gordian Knot.
