A cool thing happened today.....

My 10 yr old son had his team party at the local pizza place tonight and one of the fathers of one of the kids on his team is serving over in A-stan and has missed all of his sons games this spring.

We did all the tropies and baseball dogtags when his mom calls us all together to tell us that she had something for all the coaches and players.

She had flags and certificates for them from her husbands unit for all the coaches plus they sent coins for all the players and coaches as well. Tonight was one of the coolest days for me and I will keep the flag and coin displayed proudly. I wish he could have been here for the season and our party. Prayers for his safe and speedy return and to all our servicemen over there.

All in all, a good night with friends and a bunch of great kids !!
They went 18-2 and were the top team in the AA division for our L.L.

Sounds like a great overall experience, good for everyone involved. Hopefully that noble soldier will be home for the games next year.
