Toxicodendron

This my first SBR and I have noticed an indentation from the back of the FP on the face of the hammer. Is this normal or an issue?
Lower is a Stag w/ factory LPK. Upper is a 10.5" Noveske SwitchBlock, Noveske BCG and MUR-1 reciever. Currently has an H3 buffer and original Stag spring.
Insight from the experts would be appreciated.

Wow. That doesn't seem right. The hammer shouldn't be anywhere near that soft...
Must have missed the heat treat process. Not sure if it's worth the time to mess around with a warranty since the part is fairly inexpensive.
Yup, Didn't get tempered or heat treated properly.
I say get a new one ASAP.
Absolute crap...
Even if the hammer missed heat treat, it should not be that soft. Something else might be going on here.
Can't say I've seen that before but as previously stated, looks like it missed the heat treating. Definately get a new one.
Hello,
You'll only find high quality parts on the page via. the following link, and respectfully, it'd be a good idea too just go ahead and replace all the Stag parts in your lower while you're at it.
For high quality parts follow this link. http://www.specializedarmament.com/catalog/Colt_AR_15_Parts-4-0.html
Contact Stag and do something. Aside from Bob's obsession with SAW (and I like Colt and Ken alot) you can get a good kit from DD and Grant.
