Here's a .223 TAC load:

Ramshot TAC 26.6 grains (please work up to this load if you are going to do this)

CCI #41 primers

Brass: various

Bullet: Lake City M193 projectile, 55 gr, from Wideners

Case prep: standard Redding resizing die, trimmed to 1.75 inches (Giraud).

Seating: COAL = 2.25 inches.

Crimp: None.

Estimated velocity, interpolating from Sierra data book: ~3,150 fps.

Temp: 60 F
Humidity: > 50%

Upper: BCM 16 inch M4 carbine
Optic: Aimpoint T-1 w/ LaRue Po Boy 2.5x magnifier
Range: 100 yards.
Position: Prone with magazine touching ground

My next iteration, if pressures are not over the top on this load (please feel free to chime in on this one), will be to trim the cases to 1.755 inches and seat to COAL to 2.249, with a taper crimp.

A couple of the cases appear to show extractor marks so they may be getting warm - possibly similar to 5.56 pressure.

If it were me, I would back off about 0.3 grains and load 30 or so and shoot several more groups - with at least one being 10 shots. One 5 shot group can easily give a false reading.
