Would this stag model 1 be considered carbine length or mid length?

In case you did not know, carbine and mid length are terms that refer to the type of gas system the rifle has.

The carbine length gas system puts the gas port about 7.25" from the upper receiver while the mid length puts the gas port about 9.25" from the upper receiver.

Strange. I have ordered direct from the Magpul website before with no problems.
Maybe try BCM or G and R tactical.

The Mid-length and Rifle-length you can order from the Magpul store, but the Carbine-length does not have that option. Maybe they only have enough on hand right now for orders from dealers. But Grant has them in stock.

another quick question..
what size rail section should i get to mount a vertical grip? do you think a longer one would be more stable since the hand guard is plastic?
