The gun shoots great and is becoming one of my favorite guns to shoot. SBR paperwork is in process and the barrel is already cut to the correct length as I had them do it to start with and pin the fake suppressor on to simplify the SBR process.

The only issue I have with Lancaster is that it took them over a year and a lot of hassle to acquire this weapon. Over promised and waaaaay under delivered in relation to delivery time. Customer service was friendly but not helpful at actually resolving the problems presented.

I changed the wood out on the handguards as the ones provided were an ugly deep red, as you can see in the second picture. I installed the rail myself and slapped an H1 on it. I've got both the 4-piece muzzle device as well as the cone variety (can't remember what it's called). Fit and finish on the rifle is very good, rivets are solid and even.

Overall, great gun, but the hassle of buying directly from Lancaster is something I never want to go thru again. This is probably not an issue anymore due to the fact that shortly after I bought mine, they stopped selling directly to end users.

I bought from Atlantic for that reason. I had heard horror stories, even back in '07 when I was shopping, of how bad they could be, but Blaine at Atlantic took the pain away. :D

Purchased a "Lancaster" from Jensen Arms in 2008. Turns out it was made by a local shop under the Lancaster name pursuant to an arrangement between them and Lancaster that had recently dissolved, and wasn't even up to Lancaster standards in quality. I called Lancaster Arms in AZ and they offered to bring the rifle up to their specs, no charge. So, sent it to them. Get a call from them a bit later telling me that instead they want to rebuild the gun from the receiver up, to the tune of several hundred bucks. Like an idiot, I agree. Takes a number of weeks to get the rifle, which is sent to me, no signature req'd--meaning it gets left on my doorstep. To top it off, the mag catch is too large to fit standard combloc mags. Rifle goes back to Lancaster and gets fixed. IIRC, total ordeal lasted from February to May. Sold it afterward--if something ever happened with the rifle, I didn't want to deal with their "customer service" again.

I have a Lancaster Polish Tantal. Its my favorite AK, better fit and quality than any other I own or have owned. It's old enough to have an original barrel so I'm not sure of the year it was built.

I would recommend that you DO NOT buy a Lancaster AK read this blog http://lancasterarmssucks.blogspot.com/ I also have personal experiance. I didn't ever think I would get my money back. It took 3 months and I had to call the goodyear PD and file a complaint with the Arizona AG before I got it.

Yup. I would have bought from someone else, but at the time, the Krink market was drying up quickly. They were the only company that supposedly "had" some available. As you can see from the pics, the carrier is decidedly NOT a Krink carrier. I paid the extra money for a matching parts kit, which I didn't get. I was supposed to get the fancier fake suppressor.... didn't. Oh, and the worst part of all, I got charged twice on my CC and I'm STILL battling the charge. $1400 x2 for that little Krink. Yikes!
