View Full Version : What T.V show would you bring back

BCmJUnKie

T.V sucks these days, its not original. It seems like no one is creative anymore and its a bunch of scripted reality fake bullshit.

I prefer the shows that has a good story line that if you miss one episode youre lost and have to Tivo it to catch up.

Remember Simon&Simon? How about Hardcastle and McCormick with that car? The Coyote I believe.

I used to watch G.I Joe almost everday too so lets not forget about cool cartoons.

My favorite show to this day is Twilight Zone, it has a moral in every episode. Makes you think.

NOT saying to RE-MAKE the shows, just bring them back as Re-runs

I'd bring back these:

Jericho
The Unit
Rat Patrol
UFO
WKRP in Cincinnati
The Midnight Special

To those I might add shows that I miss but I'm glad they really finished their run:

Babylon 5
The X Files
MASH
Dukes of Hazzard
Hee Haw
Laugh In
Rockford Files
Star Trek (the original, of course)
A Haunting
Cheers
Three's Company
The A-Team

And of course shows that I used to like, and are still on, but should be retired:

Ghost Hunters
Storm Chasers
American Chopper
Saturday Night Live
Celebrity Ghost Stories
Pawn Stars

Last, but not least, shows I hope last for the remainder of my natural life:

TacTV (yes, already hooked)
My Ghost Story

Threes company was a good one. Loved it. Notice how that last group was all reality except for one. lol

Used to be in love with Suzanne Somers. Until she became a money grubbing egotist and ruined the show that is. And reality shows are about all I can stomach any more.

I tried getting interested in The Walking Dead, Burn Notice, Falling Skies, The Closer, The Shield, etc., and I just can't.

BTW, I need to add Hill Street Blues, Paranormal State, Little House on the Prairie, the original Twilight Zone, the original Outer Limits, and LA Law to the list of ones that I miss but I'm glad they're gone.

I'd also bring back High Incident, probably the best cop show ever.

I wouldn't want to bring back favorite classics, they'd just **** them up. There couldn't be a Twilight Zone without Rod Serling, the 2002 series proves that.

I thought of another one I'd like to see come back: UFO Hunters.

Of all the speculative shows about E.T.'s this one came the closest to being objective and turning up some tangible evidence. I particularly liked the so-called alien implant episode. The implant appeared to be emitting a radio signal that stopped the minute they removed it from a patient.

That's where you're wrong. Those shows had stopped being produced before I was born. I grew up in a very small town with a local TV station that re-ran all the classics. Much better fare than the trash that is generally put out today.

Is there something wrong, to you, with someone liking these shows? Put down the game controller and read; or watch a classic show.

And when I think of "bring back," I mean air the original shows; not remake.

Laugh all you want, but compare it to the current plethora of pathetic, stupid, unbelievable, PC, and just plain retarded series of cop/detective shows that the networks keep trotting out, and that show was pretty badass....

For other shows: I quite liked the old H five-o and Magnum PI, although a little dated now.
Also, the Dick Van Dyke show- BEST oldschool sitcom EVER! Actually funny, and suprisingly still relevant.
And Tom & Jerry cartoons....

Another one I wish could be completed is Roughnecks, The Starship Troopers Chronicles. Good, entertaining story telling and great character development. The CGI was pretty good as well. I wanted to see how Johnny Rico was going to handle his battle field promotion to Lieutenant

I agree about Andy. Really surpised it wasn't mentioned more. My favorite of all time. Good woman!

Did you know that Floyd the barber had a stroke and was paralyzed in like the second season. But they kept him in the series where he was sitting or propped up, so he could make a living.

They treated people right in those days...
