at 1:03 in the vid you can see the bullet exit his jeans around his knee cap and fall to the ground behind him...

This one is going to be posted for a long, long time on every gun forum out there, and for good reason.

It is a sobering reminder of how careful we have to be with firearms.

That being said....as observed elsewhere...his cardinal sin was putting his finger on the trigger before he had it cleared and presented.

If he wanted to practice shooting at such a close range, he should have been doing it with an empty gun and having somebody watching him to make sure his finger was not on the trigger until the weapon was fully cleared from the holster and on target.

Probably should have video taped himself running dry fire drills, then play back in slow-mo to make sure.
