At least what would be considered "bling" under the old Sigarms company. I just found this 2004 manufactured P229 .40S&W online. It was new in the box, with two 10rd magazines. A lot of people consider the P229 to have been at its peak in terms of design, materials, and quality control during the time of the DHS 2004 testing in which the Sig P229 .40 won the contract. I installed a set of Heinies on it, and it shoots just as accurately as my P220 which says a lot. I plan to carry it on duty and wear it out. :)

First season of 24 he used a P229 similar to this, only in 9mm.

He used a Sig for the first couple seasons, then came to his senses and switched to the HK ;)

Nah, in actuality, the on-set people found that the HK was the only pistol that cycled reliably with their blanks, so thats what Mr. Bauer used.

After purchasing a gently used "AF" USPc .40S&W I understand why JB chose it. That said, the older SiG's are fantastic firearms and it appears that you have two mighty fine examples. Congratulations!

I've got a late 1990's version of that JB two-tone 229.

Frikking flawless. Smooth as glass. This is the one that I will never sell or trade. It's factory perfection.

Very nice. I have a P226 9mm that is about 10 years old with that same two-tone finish. I also sent a P6 to Robar for an NP3 job to look exactly like that.

local shop has a used one for 500.00, looks as new. was considering it but when i went to the next store i ended up with a trp operator with only 300 rounds through it. if i hadn't, i would have went back to the first store and gotten the sig the next day.

Not long ago i bought a Sig 229 E2 in 9 mm with 15 round mags and also available for it 18 and 20 round mags.
It had the best short action and short reset DA and SA trigger but ultimately sold it because it was a little too heavy to carry 24/7/365. This Sig was the best shooting gun I ever had and it also fit my hand like a glove.
Now I am sorry I sold it.

Cool. I really won't touch any new Sigs. They're overpriced and poorly crafted. The older ones made in Germany or W Germany are just superb. I have a '95 manufactured German P220 that's just balls out awesome.

Sadly they are the last of their kind.

That was season 4, which aired in 05. 4 and 5 were my favorites.

Thread title made me think SIG USA came out with an actual Jack Bauer edition.

and the worst part is is that I can actually see Sig doing that :(

I've always had a soft spot for two tone guns that were never destined to be on the cover of "Tacticool FDE" even though they are often associated with bling.
