I just put together a Glock 36/30SF Hybrid. This is a great gun lighter and slimmer then a Glock 30 with the same capacity of a regular Glock 30. This is bar none my favorite gun.
FTM this gun is slimmer and shorter then a Glock 19 and carries 11 rounds of 45 ACP and has the capability to take Glock 21 mags with 13 to 15 rounds as back up mags.

There seem to be a number of guys doing this mod from what I've seen mentioned online. Unfortunately I've not seen anyone post an actual pic of one.

And although everything SHOULD work properly, I'd like to hear from someone who has a couple thousand rounds through this combo before I'd make it my EDC.

Im not up on the 45 GLOCK's.

Is the 36 slide shorter then ?

and...... how does it run ? round count ?

PICS ! sounds cool :D

The G36 slide is slimmer then the G30 slide and at least 5 ounces lighter.
The G36 slide is also shorter then the G19/23 slide and as slim as the 9mm slides.

What are the options for building one other than buying two guns?

I suppose you would have to check someone line www.glockmeister.com and see if they have, in stock, a 36 slide or upper assembly or a 30 lower.

By the time you go that route you'll probably have quite a bit in it.

It's really too bad the 36 in and of itself was never more reliable than reports have presented

Glockmeister is the place where I bought both my 30 SF lowers.

They never sell Glock 36 complete uppers. Also this gives you two guns, an ultra slim 7 round Glock 36 or a hi cap 11 round Glock Hybrid

Also i never had a Glock that was unreliable and believe me i have had more Glock's then a few of you combined in 9, 40 and 45, I do not know where this Glock criticism is coming from. BTW I do not work for Glock so don't get too excited.

I've been following the 30/36 hybrid chatter for a couple years now. I'll build one eventually; it just makes sense. I had a G30 for a while, but it was just too chunky.

I fully agree way too chunky and no reason for it.

Well it's coming from threads and users on this forum in regards to the model 36. And there are quite a few end users of Glocks here. Like you I have had no problems with any of the Glocks I've owned.

I don't know what there would be to get excited about.

I have 2 30's and a 36. I have tried the swap. It works but I still had a large, thick grip to conceal in my front pocket. Went back to std configurations. The 36 fits perfect in the left front pocket of my jeans. The 30's are belt carry guns for me.

The Hybrid is not a front pocket gun it is a belt gun. Use it as a 36 when you carry in the pocket and as a Hybrid when you carry on the belt.

Outta sight, outta mind I guess. We used to converse on "that other site" till I was banned for referring to a few members as cowards when they commented about refusing to help those Police Officers in Washington that were murdered at the coffee shop had they been given the chance. Been a couple of years now. Has anything changed over there? Still as anti-police like before?

I agreed with you when you said that, I got also banned not long ago when I told them to stay with their butt kissers. The reason they are as anti police as they are is because the place is crawling with libertarians that have taken their BS to new heights.

I'm thinking of doing this but using a G29 SF frame instead. That way I'd have a 45ACP carry gun and a 10mm gun for carrying in the back country. SHould work, shouldn't it?

I have done the 36/30 switch and fired a few rounds out of it. I don't think I will make it permanent. I am a huge fan of the Glock 36.

I wish Glock updated their 17/22 and 20/21 line up to have the rounded noses like the GAP pistols/36 and the compacts. I like that look a lot.

Redacted, realized the guy I was responding to is already banned
