I wasn't sure where else to put these but I thought some of you guys may like to see them. This is my Grandfather in law who I hear was a bad ***! He worked for the LA county Marshals office and these were some time about 1965-ish. I wish I could have met the old guy he sounds Awesome!

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

I am pretty sure that is not an M79. It looks like a gas grenade launcher, but I can't remember off the top of my head who made it. Maybe Buck or Templar or DetMongo might now.

And I would have enjoyed chatting with the gentleman as well. There's always a fascinating set of stories they have to tell.

Much respect to your Grandfather-in-law, I do appreciate them and their service.

Hehehe, you can almost hear the theme song from "Dragnet" playing in the distance.

That's a 38mm gas gun, not a 40mm Grenade Launcher.

That scenery looks like where LAPD SWAT has one of their outdoor firing ranges now. The old timers from the 40's, 50's and 60's were bad asses.......I know since my late Dad was one. His territory was the segregated sections of Washington, DC as a Marshal, and later with a US Intel agency.

Also, dig the Man with the crossdraw nickel S&W Magnum on his hip.

Good times, tear gas and Magnums!!

Looks like a round butt k frame in an old Lewis Leather Co holster. If he worked for Los Angeles County it was probably a .38 special.
