I accidentally found info on new Russian scopes. Those guys really like to swim against current (AN-94 or silencer-less silenced firearms for eg.). This time it is scope when you have two magnifications at same time (for eg. 1x and 3.5x). They showed prototypes on IWA 2011 in Germany.

What do you guys think of it?

That's kind of interesting, actually. I would prefer the head down version. What would really be sharp would be if you could get an Aimpoint dot in the 1x window and a mil-dot reticle in the HUD window, zero-able independently. That would allow a 50/200 zero for regular shooting and a different zero of your choice for longer range. Perhaps make the dot turrets Aimpoint-style (i.e. small) then the mil-dot reticle with the target turrets so you could adjust conventionally.

I bet that would be slicker than owl shit if it were executed right - though it would be bloody expensive to do right.

Interesting concept. Sort of like bifocals in a scope.

Interesting

This is my sentiment also. I wouldn't buy one, but will fully support someone else spending their money on one and T&E'ing it for me.

Will see into that later this year. No promises.

interesting.
Actually looks less cluttered & more functional than other scopes I have seen. I would prefer "U" vs. "D" version.
Anybody know pricing ?
