Ammo price up

First i live in southern MI. I walked into the local walmart w/ the wife to get some ammo I noticed that wwb for 100 rnds of 9mm has increased 2$ per box, and federal champion .45ACP has also increased 2$ per 50. Normally this would be no shock but the ammo was just on the decent. Is this the case for most states.:confused: Thanks

As far as 9mm goes, it's remained fairly constant here. $24 for a box of WWB at wal-mart, last I checked.

I noticed the sane thing two weeks ago here in Oklahoma. Ammo prices really suck for 45 acp. That's why I got a g19 and now the 9mm is getting almost as bad.

Here in Idaho 9mm UMC 250rd boxes went up about $8/box (2 weeks ago or so).

I'm just north of the Detroit border and at least around here the prices haven't gone up in a while. I personally wont shop at walmart so I can't speak to their prices up here. Have you tried any of the ranges or dealers in your area? They always seem to be more consistent.

Prices at Wal-Mart and just about everywhere else jumped over the last month from what I have seen. According to numerous threads at gun related websites this appears to be the case all over the U.S.

Unfortunately, ammo prices are on the rise. They started going up as early as April and will go up again at least once more before the year is over. That is on the retailing end. If the stores were smart, they would have stocked up (we got plenty of warning) so the sticker price would stay the same for awhile. But yeah, prices are going up at least 4-7%.

They are saying it is due to raw materials going up and also due to labor - raises, insurance, workmans comp, etc, etc.

Yep, same thing in South Florida. 9mm WWB went up from 22.97 to 24.97. Really sucks being young and currently unemployed. Can't buy too much ammo now, and it'll only get more expensive as I get older.
