The FN-49 is Egyptian and chambered in 7.92x57mm and is close to cherry.

The US M1917 has a Barrel date of Feb 1918... all matching numbers except the bolt. Imported by Century Arms International. I have no clue from where though.

Nice finds. Take a look at the firing pin and firing pin channel on that FN-49. I had one years ago when they first came in and had the pin break, and get stuck forward.....turned it into a 10 shot open bolt slam firing machine for one mag.....

Those old P17's were built like tanks.

Check the 1917 for Chinese or Phillopino markings . Both countries recieved quite a few 1917's .
