I'm looking to get my first scope and was hoping to get some suggestions for the best scope in the $500 - $1000 range. Mainly looking to shoot in the 200 - 400 (out to 600 would be a bonus) range.

Any suggestions?

I've got a Bushnell Tactical Elite 3-12 that so far I'm happy with.
