Some light mount options-PICS

Another option for mounting a light and having a sling mount with it.

GG&G mount and VTAC mount. VLTOR and Larue light mounts.

Surefire mini Scout
VTAC E series Surefire
Surefire G2
Colt M4 double shielded HG's

I was fiddling about and though I would show the pics for anyone who may want to have another option. The mini Scout will mount with the Larue mount mounted either way. If the lever is down, it will be tight when closed and you may need a screw driver to release it since it's tight quartered.

A stock Scout mount won't work because the end cap will hit the VTAC sling mount.

What GG&G mount is that on the FSB? It kind of looks like a Slic Thing, but the light is on the left and there's no provision for to attach a sling.

Right, slic mount with plain mounting plate. You could get the QD slot mount and roll your thumb over to the right side if you want or as GG&G show's, a tape switch.

I originally got it for a carbine with a side sling swivel and just needed a light mount, left side for support thumb activation.
