Class is run by On Target Solutions, LLC. Very very basic introduction class.
Altogether while the .308 is running out of steam at 1200 yards, it still can hit the target.
All together, it is a whole different ball game dealing with long range precision shooting.

learned that there are so many variables to add to the equation from the weather, wind, ammo, heat, mirage.
I was afraid that my suppressor would be a hinder on my setup, it wasn't.

Setup is Remi 700 SA on HS stock with Lupy mark 4 4.5-14x50 with TMR recticle.
I was scared 14 power wasn't enough but it was fine all the way to 1500 yards.

Anyways..wanted to share

Mind sharing your load? Guessing 168's. I've had good luck with Sierra 168 gr. HPBT MatchKing's out to 600 but haven't tried much further than that.

actually. it was prvi Partizan 175 gr BTFMJ.

It was great ammo and actually did well against Sierra and FGM ammo.

168 becomes unstable after 800-1000 yards according to many including Magpul who does not want you to use it.

barrel is Remi 5R 24" threaded by Tornado Tech with target crown.

You've reached the practical limit of .308" 168 grain bullets. They lose speed and stability rapidly past 700 - 800 yards.

Thanks. Will have to look into loading some heavier stuff to stretch it out.

If you can get them to 2900 fps or more, 155 grain match bullets (with the Lapua Scenar 155 being king) will more than work for 1000 yard shooting.

If you can't, definitely look into the 175 - 185 grain range.

it was losing alot of umph out there but there was somebody else with a 6.5mm setup on a AI rifle and he was fine out there but losing it also being I think his was 140-150 gr bullets I believe.

It was a special wildcat cartridge that I forgot now but I do know it was 6.5mm.

his grandson used his old rifle at .308 and 175 and he was hitting fine.
