Last week. Shot 5 rounds out of my new Mossberg 590. Range nazi came over and said slugs only, I had no slugs, so I left. Reason that I was given was I might hit other peoples targets with my bird shot. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON THERE. And I would have gladly quit if other people and shown up. Not sure how to break in a tactical shotgun other than being "that guy" over on the trap range.

Long guns was back in March. Handguns was last month. Long gun range is 90~120 minutes away and from early March until mid August, I am elbow deep in youth sports as as assistant coach and official.

Lately I have been thinking I should be armed as an official...

After the 12th, I'll get to start shooting more regularly again.

Yesterday.

Got a brand new 9mm Walther PPS. Went out and put 300 rounds through it. The gun was 100% reliable, and scary accurate with the ammunition used (WW 147gr TMJ). The trigger started off as really shitty, and smoothed out to just sucking. Time will tell if it's a keeper.

I don't get to go nearly as often as I would like. It's been about 6 weeks or so since I was out last. However I will note that I've managed to put 800 rounds through each of my pistols and another 800 through my AR so far since I've had them. I don't believe I've ever had another gun in my life that saw 800 rounds so at least I'm moving in the right direction.
