Does anyone make a G.I. type sling swivel for a .625" barrel?

I have this setup on my 6920, it's rock solid, out of the way and I like it.

All I seem to be able to find is stuff for rails and all sorts of QD type stuff that I don't want.

I really don't understand why all these barrels have the sling swivel on the bottom of the FSB.

Do you mean something like this (http://palmettostatearmory.com/1818.php)?

Dunno if its for .625, but a phone call should answer that in quick fashion.
Might even be a type that has shims included to cover the standard sizes

Or perhaps this (http://www.pathfinderguns.com/AR15-Front-Sight-Tower-Sling-Mount-p/58051.htm) for use in the front sight tower?

It looks like the moveable piece on that one has different radius sizes on its two sides, and I'm guessing one is .625" and the other is .750", so it would appear to fit either of those common gas seat diameters. Of course a call to PSA would be a good idea to confirm.

I dont know if anyone still makes them but I have one. I bought it for my 6933. The guy I bought it from said it was off one of his old Colts.

Most of what you are going to find is going to be the type with the reversible block to fit both diameters. These work great on .750" barrels, not as well on .625" barrels. The dedicated .625" versions do exist though, I bought one and had it on a 6520. I sold mine with the gun and in hindsight I should have kept it as I don't think the guy I sold the gun to knew what I was giving him.

I don't think there are any current-manufacture .625" versions so you're going to have to look for used.
