I bit the bullet and purchased the 20 inch Milspec threaded barrel rem 700. I have several questions as this is only my 2nd tactical bolt rifle.

I have a AAC SDN-6 coming. Is it goofy to put a Brake-out on a bolt gun. The threads match so I could. Then I could run it with or without can.

What base and mounts do you prefer?

You have to run something - might as well be a brakeout. I might end up with the brakeout on my 300 AAC since the flash hider makes a ping like a tuning fork and the muzzle brake is $50 or so more than the brakeout or flash hider for some reason.
