I've had several posts in different threads wind up being "earlier" than posts I was responding to. Anyone else experiencing this?

I haven't seen that, but I've been getting the "new post" button telling me the forum requires 10 seconds between search and I need to wait 1625 seconds to try again.

I just started having some issues in the last 5-10 minutes. The first one is; posts are starting to appear out of order & also when I hit the new posts button, just once, it will say that the site only allows a search every 10 seconds & I have to wait something crazy like 3500+ seconds (the exact amount changes per time). So far it's happened 3 times in the last 5-10 minutes. It might be nothing, but I thought I'd let someone know in case it's not....

I'm having this very issue with my PMs, right now. Only it's 3100-odd seconds.

ETA: It appears that the order of the posts is chronological... but the chronology is based on local time.

This should have been the fourth post in this thread, not the second.

I haven't had the wait time message you mentioned, but I'm seeing alot of posts out of sequence.

Yep, just saw this when clicking the "new posts" link. But I clicked it again and it was fine.

This forum requires that you wait 10 seconds between searches. Please try again in 3523 seconds.

.

I've had several of the "3000+ seconds" waits and it reliably counts the seconds down.
If I shutdown M4C completely, I can do one search.

I've also got several "Site Unavailable" screens.

I think the system time is out of whack.

I'm seeing the same thing. Have not experienced the crazy wait time between posts.

My posts are out of order. They are being placed in front of others who posted before me.

I just started having the 3500 second wait time problems with PM's also.
ETA-Having post end up out of order now too...

Yup, I've noticed this myself.

A couple posts from D90king ended up in front of earlier posts, even though he posted after. :(

Makes it very confusing to try to read a thread. ;)

I have seen this...someone quotes a post that happens in the future...hmm

And: Even though I haven't hit "new posts" in several minutes it says I must wait ten seconds between loading new posts. Please wait 3245 seconds...!

? huh?

The glass has been smashed and the 4# troubleshooting sledgehammer has been deployed.

.

I've had it do a couple of time related errors. It looks to me that one of two things are happening:
- when you open a Thread, read a few of the Posts and then make a Post, it puts the time of your Post down from when you opened the Thread not made the Post.
OR
- It is jumping in and out of Daylight Savings Time? I have had a couple of my Posts tagged exactly 1-hour earlier than when I made the Post.

But maybe it's just me...

Note: the time for this Post is correct.

Seems to be getting worse--agreed this is appropriate level of force. Personally, when a server at work is giving me problems I like to pour a glass of water on it and show it whose really boss. The short tends to make it more cooperative.

ETA: Post time looks correct. My guess is its not taking time zones into account and displaying everything to users chronologically as if every post was made from the viewers timezone.

Bingo! Your wait is STILL less than mine, though! :o

My posts are showing up ahead of other posts. My time seems to be over an hour earlier than most.
...been like that all weekend long.

More time index issues again - I just made a post (https://www.m4carbine.net/showpost.php?p=1081233&postcount=3) that magically showed up 8 hours earlier than I actually posted it!

I was down to 6,000 seconds to send a PM just a minute ago. Now I'm back up to 14,000 seconds! Ahh! Need to send some PM's. I'm being patient but just thought I'd pass along this.

I've noticed it again too.
It must be a pain to figure out what has happened. Much less who did it and if it was a hack job.
