I'm looking to get my AR-15 Duracoated, probably single color but maybe in a Multicam pattern. Who do you all recommend for quality of coating, turnaround time, customer service, attention to detail, etc?

I'm hoping to not spend too much to get this done, but I'm willing to pay a healthy amount for good work.

saddlerocker, 7.62 precision looks to do really good work. I'll be keeping them in mind.

I looked into it for my M&P9, but didnt end up doing it.

Jimsgunsupply looked good for normal stuff. Decent price/ God rep.

7.62 Precision (High Ready Tactical) seems top notch, but their in Alaska and will be a bit more expensive to ship and for the work, But they look really professional.

Get with Henry at HHB Guns here in the Charleston area. I've seen his work and it is awesome. He's done a transfer for me but I'm still saving to let him coat my rifle and pistol.

If no one minds a tangent, while we're talking about duracoat, has anyone used duraheat? I was thinking of doing the section of barrel under my ff handguard. Some threads I dug up mentioned that duraheat seems to be a little tougher. Obviously I'm looking for heat resistance. How does regular duracoat wear on a barrel?

I've painted lots of firearms with Duracoat(DraHeat & DuraBake), Aluma-Hyde, KG and Cerakote over parked, anodized, bead blasted and primed surfaces. DuraHeat It holds up much better than Duracoat, but color selection is severely limited. DuraBake is holding up better than Duracoat too, but color selection is also limited. I wouldn't recommend spending a lot of money on a Durcoat paint scheme if you're going to use the firearm regularly.

Cerakote is holding up much better than the others- by a wide margin and that's what I would recommend. Unfortunately, it's bit more expensive at $35+ per 4 oz.

Color selection isn't a problem for me. It will be covered by a rail so no scratching or abrasion to worry about. I really just want a permanent rust preventative that can take the heat since its hard to get under a 1-piece rail. My current regiment is to spooge clp up near the barrel nut, put the gun away muzzle down, and let it drip and spread out. Any suggestions?

I can second this. When I lived in Anchorage they painted a Remington 700 VS for me. They did excellent work...
