I have been asking for these since I first got my hands on the new "E" Series guns from S&W.

10-8 just released them and to their credit, THAT WAS FAST!!!

Here's what the new 10-8 sights for the S&W "E" Series gun looks like.

Usually "Minor Fitting," is required. For this particular sight on this particular gun that was a total of 2 passes with a smooth cut file. Your mileage will definitely vary, but it is a simple install if you are patient and have the right tools.

Looking good!! I am literally just about to pull the trigger on a new 10-8 rear for my EDC (a Kimber Pro TLE w/bobtail) - so it's good to see your setup which is almost identical to mine.

Question:
What size notch did you go with? .140 or .156?

I usually go with the .140. This sight for the S&W was only available with the small notch. I'm sure that will change, but it is also easily fixed with a few passes of the file.

Here is the sight on the 5" gun. Install was as simple for this one as it was for the SC.

I took them both out and shot them. POA/POI is the same at 15 yards for me. The front sights are the factory items.

The 10-8 rear looks great on your E series. I bought one this week, and I love it.

That black S&W at the top is beautiful.

Nice looking sights. Those fishcales on the slide of the E series are just plain ugly. I don't know why they would do that.

At first I hated the fish scales...but they've grown on me. Although I still hate the look of the factory grips, which somehow enhance the ugliness of the fish scales for me.

But the grips are an easy change, of course. And for whatever reason, the fish scales on the stainless version actually kind of appeal to me.

Yeah...the factory grips...

It was like trying to hold on to a wet banana.:haha:

The VZ Grips fix it right up though.

Looks great! I plan on ordering the sight for my E series in the next day or two.

Quick Q, who's magwell are you using?

Once you use them you will never think that again. They provide solid purchase on the gun and they don't tear up your hands.

It is an Ed Brown MS Housing and Magwell.

Was it pretty much a drop in install or did it require a gunsmith to fit the parts?

I had to blend it in with the gun. The MS housing was drop in, but the Magwell needed work.

Just knocked out my meprolight rear sight and installed my 10-8 rear sight. The 10-8 slid right in, and the only thing really keeping it there is the set screw. I hope that's enough to stay under recoil. Don't know what else i could do besides JB weld or something?

Both of mine fit tighter than that. I had to make a couple of passes with a smooth file and then drift them in the last 2/3rds of the way. Even on my other guns, Glocks, M&P, etc., they fit tighter that what you describe.

May I suggest that you ask Hilton about it.
