Man it would suck to be the poor Germans on the receiving end of that quad M2 set up.

I love the tank destroyer emblem! The tank destroyer force is a very little known element of our armored forces who racked up a very impressive record against German armor. Do you have any photos of the vehicle it was on? M10?

Designed to "shoot and scoot" they had poor armor but could do 45mph I was told.

Hey Will, where was this at ?

I am a huge fan of WW2 armored vehicles and everything else from that time period. I would love to go check out a show like that.

We have a small airport down here near disney that has a B-17 and other planes that fly around all the time.

A couple of weeks ago I saw 2 P-51 mustangs flying in formation very low as I was leaving one of my accounts I take care of down there :)

This would be a terror to have to face. Quad M2s...man.
Love the half-tracks.

.

Me too. I think the primary use was anti aircraft no? Regardless, I'm sure it got turned on enemy soldiers as needed and I can think of few things that would suck worse then being on the receiving end of 4X.50 cal "Ma Deuce"

That would be a really bad day....:help:

The gear is great, but I love the artwork from the time also. Few more:

Thanks, and great pictures all!

The M18 Hellcat was a neat vehicle. I've heard speeds up to 60mph and they were built/designed by Buick. They were fast enough they could get into position to take flank shots on the German armor as its 76mm gun couldn't take a Tiger or Panther from the front. They were still being used by Serb forces during the Yugoslavian civil war in the 1990s.
