I'm new to these forums, so try not to flame me too bad if this is not allowed in this particular section. I just bought my first AR-15, which is actually my first rifle in general. I own a RIA 1911 and a Springfield XD-40 as well, but this is so far the nicest weapon Ive ever owned. Ive wanted an M4 style AR-15 for well over a year now, and I finally bought one, so I thought I would show it off on here.

I purchased the rifle for $850 including shipping from a lawyer in Texas off of www.gunsamerica.com. I just picked it up from the FFL Dealer today, so these are so far the only pictures I have (that I took). I will definately take some more, but its dark out right now, and the flash on my camera makes everything look retarded, so I need to wait until theres more light. It's a lot cleaner than I thought it would be. Its definately in nice shape.

It's a Stag Arms lower on a Bushmaster Flat-top w/ a 16" barrel. It has Midwest Industries quad-rail handguards, a Tango-Down VFG, a Pentagonlight MD2 Laser/Light combo, and he threw in an A.R.M.S. BUIS for free that he wanted $50 for, but I told him I didn't want to spend the extra money right now. My future plans are mainly just to throw an EOTech sight on it, and a nice 3-point tactical sling.

Let me know what you guys think, and if I got a good price or not.

It's cool that he threw in mid west pic rail, the Tango down grip and the light with pressure switch. In all, not to bad a deal but until you take that baby for a test fire you really wont know how good your deal was. Your new to the Ar scene so a little advice, Bushmaster some times has bolt problems and they often don't stake the gas keys properly. So take that baby to the range with a good 500 rounds of assorted ammo, have some fun and let us know what happens. There are plenty of experts on this site to answer all your questions. Happy shooting!

Thanks, I know ill enjoy it. Im going to go out tomorrow and put a few rounds through it, just to see how accurate it is. One thing I noticed while looking at it is that the gas tube under the hand guards is bent  Pretty sure its not supposed to be like that, but I dont know, as you said Im fairly new to the AR. Its not a drastic bend, it just bends upwards slightly, then back down I believe. I think im going to take the handguards off and take a look at it. Is this normal, or will it be a problem?

EDIT: Just looked again. Looks as though its supposed to be bent, but I cant really tell without taking the handguards off. Anyone know if this is normal for a bushmaster gas tube?

Ahh...This is my first experience with a Bushmaster, and I dont recall our Ameetecs at work having a bend i the gas tube like that, but the picture posted above me looks pretty much like it.
