The Sig website says the dimensions are the same, but RCS designates between the P226 phantom and P220 phantom. In other places I've seen holsters described as fitting P226/P220 models.... Basically, what I have is a RCS Phantom LC for a P226 w/ TLR-1, and a chance to buy a German P220 with about 400 rounds through it. I know I should buy the German Sig, I'm just hoping that it will fit the RCS Phantom that I already have. Thanks!

My Safariland ALS fit my P220 but not 226's. I believe it is a beefier frame.
I think it depends on the holster. I've had looser fit leather holsters like a galco or desantis that would fit either a 226 or a 220. On the other hand I think there is a slight difference in width between the 226 and 220 that it may not fit if the holster is tightly molded to the gun.

In some holsters they do (uncle mike), some don't (safariland).
Appears holster tolerances are key.
My Bianchi #5, and my Safariland 070 are P226 holsters, but they fit a P220 just fine. It might be different with kydex though.
My Safariland ALS fits both my 220R and 226R with Surefire x200.

Bottom line it depend on the holster. I would image a RCS P226 holster would be less than ideal for a P220

Thanks guys. I'm not going to chance it, I'll just stick with the P226.
Why don't you just email Tom Fineis from RCS and ask him. He will get back to you. Buy the P220 either way.

My CompTac fits both my P226 and P220... both snap right in securely, no wiggle, and appear to have the same external dimensions at the slide.
Some manufacturers make different holsters for the 220 and 226. If they do, there is a reason for it with their holster. No manufacturer wants two Sku's when they could have one.
I know you already got your answer, but more info, hopefully it's helpful to some people. My W. German P220 fits a Blade Tech Nano IWB for the 226 perfectly.
