I hate it when something from MSNBC makes sense. I don't like the implications of "getting the money out of politics," nor the notion that a president assuming more power would be a good thing, but he's spot on that we have been sold down the river...and that 99% of the politicians on both sides are doing nothing but exploiting the issue for their own gain.

Democrats may be largely responsible for pushing us down the hill, but Republicans are standing on the sideline whispering "stop it guys," instead of doing anything substantive.

Where are the leaders? For that matter where are the thinkers? Where are the conservatives with actual intellect like Bill Buckley? Instead we have received(or asked for) borderline morons like the two prominent females in Republican politics and screaming frothing "personalities" as so often typified on talk radio. I'm tired of hearing about abortion, guns, praying in schools, gay marriage, nutrition, whether or not we were founded on christian values, and all of the other issues that are beyond irrelevant considering the very real and very large issue that threatens us all.

I'd like a candidate to say "I'm not going to offer an opinion on X, Y, and Z because I'll veto every single bill dealing with those issues no matter which side comes out on top. Every single moment the congress spends dealing with those issues is time spent putting off the real problems...time we don't have."

That guy's right on point! It's about time people get pissed and say something. I know jack else about the guy but his "rant" is right on target.

"We've got a real problem!" an exasperated Ratigan shouted. "This is a mathematical fact! Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America. Democrats aren't doing it, Republicans aren't doing it. An entire integrated system, financial system, trading system, taxing system, that was created by both parties over a period of two decades is at work on our entire country right now. And we're sitting here arguing about whether we should do the $4 trillion plan that kicks the can down the road for the president for 2017, or burn the place to the ground, both of which are reckless, irresponsible, and stupid."

I wonder if Chris Matthews had a discussion with this guy after his "rant". :D

I wouldn't refer to this so mauch as a melt down. More like a call to action. Good to see more people getting upset about this.

Brzezinski...Truly an evil, wretched human being.

He is the very definition of a globalist, and would sell out the nation for a university speaking gig faster than you can say oligarchy.

And Dylan was spot on. No doubt Lawrence O'Donnell and Chris Matthews had a huge shit attack after this segment.

If he doesn't get fired, I will be shocked.

Presidents come and go.

Devils like Brzezinski, Greenspan, Bernanke and Kissinger can't be dealt with by ballot box, are in it for the long haul and could car less about Joe citizen.

They are in it for the buck, and power, and they don't take prisoners.

Digging along a similar vein: Shadow Elite: How the World's New Power Brokers Undermine Democracy, Government, and the Free Market by Janine R. Wedel (http://www.amazon.com/Shadow-Elite-Undermine-Democracy-Government/dp/0465022014/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_1).

From a review in Publisher's Weekly: "Using her expertise in Eastern European communist governments, author and public policy professor Wedel (Collision and Collusion) has pulled together a shocking expose of those dismantling U.S. democracy from the inside. Labeling the new breed of U.S. political operators "flexions," she finds individual roles as lobbyists, government insiders or elected officials converging into a single network "snaking through official and private organizations, creating a loop that is closed to democratic processes." Wedel shows how a core group of flexions (neo-conservative cold-warrior Richard Perle, retired four-star army general Barry R. McCaffrey, Obama financial advisor Larry Summers, etc.) have risen to power on an unprecedented confluence of four transformational 20th and 21st century developments: government outsourcing and deregulation, the end of the Cold War, the growth of information technologies, and "the embrace of 'truthiness.'" By wearing several hats simultaneously (think tanker, retired military or government official, corporate representative, "objective" expert), Wedel shows how a flexion can gain extraordinary insider knowledge and influence in order to custom-tailor a version of the "truth" benefitting the highest bidder. In this way, they not only "co-opt public policy agendas" but "craft policy with their benefactors' purposes in mind." This fascinating, authoritative wake-up call should satisfy any American who wants a handle on the republic's most successful agents of corruption."

I recently went back to school to change careers. My former employment was in banking. I was in banking for 12yrs. I have to say that the way most large banks look for loopholes, financing schemes, and half truths to get investor money, sell financial products and services is sickening. I felt dirty when I finally left the banking industry and even switched my personal accounts to a credit union.
I was in Las Vegas in 2007 and had a few minutes to chat with the CEO of the company I was working for, Jamie Dimon, and I asked him specifically about a number of secured lending products we sold and some investment products as well. I told him my fears about exposure both to the company and towards individuals. When the mortgage bubble finally burst!
He looked at me like I had four eyes! I was there because I was in the top 10% of the sales force for a week long RAH RAH convention to slap on the back for doing such a great job.
Let's just say that after the innocent questions I got a bit of the cold shoulder for the rest of my stay that week.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The wizards behind the curtain; Brzezinski, Kissinger, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Greenspan, et al (trust me, it goes back far earlier than them) are the "political" arm of the various factions at play. Much like how Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, and Justices answer to the likes of the above mentioned, they too answer to their masters. Study the history of modern banking, specifically the CENTRAL BANKING SYSTEM from the late 1700's to the present.

The evil cabal knows no bounds. . .

People are starting to GET IT. Look past the Republican/Democrat, Conservative/Liberal, Communist/Capitalist, horse shit that has been perpetuated to DIVIDE AND CONQUER and follow the money!

Tin foil hat stuff right?

If you were a democrat, and you cared about the betterment of the working mans wages and that of the condition of his family.... and if results actually mattered, then you are as adrift as a conservative who was waiting for Republicans to cut something, somewhere, anywhere. Since the progressive era both parties have destroyed the family and driven good jobs away. Democrats are socialism-classic and Republicans are diet-socialism. The only people I know who want to print money weinmar style hang around universities, not the real world. Even the most die hard liberal social-tax&spenders I've known in the real world want the budget balanced. They know what snowballed debt looks like.

This will all stop when states start voting to leave the union. Or alternately when the starbucks communists decide the revolution is at hand and try to burn down your town and places of worship, then wonder why people get sore at them and their enablers. Sorry dudes, but you had it backwards, it was the police protecting you from the working man, not the other way around.

Mark my words, states will vote to leave the union, especially if things get worse economically. No one that works is happy with paying nearly half of their money in state and federal taxes for next to zero actual benefit.

I'm definitely doing more reading up and studying on Brzezinski. I recognized the name and have heard it many times through out my life, I was really young during Carter, but really didn't think much about the guy until we started having these discussions. I had always assumed he was just some cabinet member guy with a weird, Russian sounding name, come to find out it's Polish.

I got this from a search on HAARP and it's from one of Brzezinski's books... A key passage from Between Two Ages (1970) states, “Technology of weather modification could be employed to produce prolonged periods of drought or storm.”.

The HAARP program is some definite scary shit! I'm still learning more but there are quite a few people blaming recent tsunamis, earthquakes and the crazy weather patterns on HAARP. This looks to be a pretty interesting documentary on HAARP as well but I haven't watched it yet. http://youtu.be/2ul7Q5Wcu0g

I don't think people are truly apathetic. I think they have lost faith in change. That's why Obama was elected. He was new...and Black. A black person for president was never even a discussion for the most part ( powell! but he was mostly white anyway.) Obama at least looked and spoke like a black person, but I digress. What I meant was that if a black person could be elected then maybe we could actually change other things! That was the general consensus!!
Of course the change went in opposite direction of what most people wanted.:haha:

I was watching planet of the apes in the theatre. I loved the visual analogy ceasar used with the branch. one section of the branch was easy to snap, but when you bundled multiple branches together it became much stronger!
What we need to do is to join grass roots parties that hold the same views we hold, once we are stronger then we start demanding change. This first change we need to make if we're ever going to make a difference is to impose term limits on ALL politicians. Get rid of the career politician and to cap donations and expenditures for elections. Also monitor and cap the amount of times and money that is spent towards relection. do away with the congressional retirement. Instead we can give the politician a lump sum of money...not much 50K/yr with a 4yr cap in congress and an 8yr cap in the senate. Of course they would still recieve a salary while they were in office. And we don't need to get cheap on the salaries 175-250K/ yr is realistic it is a powerful position and comparable positions in private industry would pay 3 and 4 times this amount.
This would be a start.

So there you have it. If you want to make change get the politicians off the nations tit. In order to do that you need to organize. Think of grassroots political organization as political union. Put in place for collective barganing purposes.
I can't believe that in this county with the history of unions we've seen that we aren't better organized for this!

January of 1978, Dr. Andrija Puharich, MD, LL.D, issued a detailed research paper entitled 'Global Magnetic Warfare - A Layman's View of Certain Artificially Induced Unusual Effects on The Planet Earth During 1976 and 1977.' In his paper, Dr. Puharich stated, "Of the many great earthquakes of 1976, there is one that demands special attention - the July 28, 1976 Tangshan, China earthquake."

DoD News Briefing; Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen Monday, April 28, 1997 - 8:45 a.m. EDT:

Q: Let me ask you specifically about last week's scare here in Washington, and what we might have learned from how prepared we are to deal with that (inaudible), at B'nai Brith.

A: Well, it points out the nature of the threat. It turned out to be a false threat under the circumstances. But as we've learned in the intelligence community, we had something called -- and we have James Woolsey here to perhaps even address this question about phantom moles. The mere fear that there is a mole within an agency can set off a chain reaction and a hunt for that particular mole which can paralyze the agency for weeks and months and years even, in a search. The same thing is true about just the false scare of a threat of using some kind of a chemical weapon or a biological one. There are some reports, for example, that some countries have been trying to construct something like an Ebola Virus, and that would be a very dangerous phenomenon, to say the least. Alvin Toeffler has written about this in terms of some scientists in their laboratories trying to devise certain types of pathogens that would be ethnic specific so that they could just eliminate certain ethnic groups and races; and others are designing some sort of engineering, some sort of insects that can destroy specific crops. Others are engaging even in an eco- type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves.
