hi guys, please help me out with this. i'd like to know what upper this is:


-11.5 appears to be light weight
-stamped on top of barrel above the front sight (1-9 chromed)
-receiver has no m4 cuts
-receiver looks like tint of red (natural, not from the camera)
-front sight is not F marked
-front sight has a 1 stamped and a diamond shape/crown or something

could this be an ER Shaw barrel?

let me know if you guys need anymore photos/angles.

Are you sure that's a lightweight barrel? Looks government profile to me.

i just measured it:

.675 under handguards
.625 under front sight
.600 between sight and muzzle

I believe Shaw barrels are 4150, 1/7 twist...or at least they were when they made them for Colt. Maybe they had some chrome-lined 4140 1/9 variants. Doesn't look like a lightweight though.

Based on the barrel stamp, I would say it is a Model 1 Sales.

They usually also have M1S stamped on the barrel......

It should be right there with the other markings. At least on the older barrels it was.

Did a search on google, the "font" of the markings looks the same as what Wilson marks their barrel. M1S uses Wilson and ER Shaw barrels.

This is what Model 1 Sales looks like. The marking is on the barrel in front of the FSB. The font of the markings on your barrel looks the same.
