I am looking at possibly getting a Gen4 G17. I also happen to have a Gen2 G22 slide (just the complete slide). Does anyone know if I would be able to put the G22 slide on the 9mm frame and if it would function?

Why wouldn’t it? Nines and 40s share the same frame. I would think if the ejector was changed out it would work.

It will not work, the Gen4 frames are not compatible with none Gen4 slides. If you bought a Gen3 then it would be compatible just change the ejector and your GTG.

The Gen4 slides and frames are completely different and have been redesigned for the new duel recoil spring.
