What is best set up to use with the extractor spring / rubber insert ? Maybe another sticky is needed over this ??

Any ol' insert (as long as there is one), then get the Crane O-ring and be done with it?

My BCM BCG didn't come with an extractor spring insert- should I refrain from installing one, or would it still be a good thing to pick up next time I place an order for something?
