Pat served for 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Intelligence and Special Operations Officer, and as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor. Since leaving the Marine Corps, Pat has worked extensively in the tactical training, security and personal protection fields for a number of international companies. His experience as an instructor covers the entire spectrum of modern small arms. He has developed programs of instruction, courses of fire, scenarios and training programs for Law Enforcement and Special Operations Forces and provided training and direct operational support for Law Enforcement, Military and Intelligence units, Foreign Governments, Heads of State, and Private Corporate clients.

Pat Goodale 2-Day Handgun CQB – September 17-18, 2011 – Alderson, WV

If you have been looking for a "real world" Advanced Tactics Handgun Course, this is it. Pat Goodale and his staff have developed an intense and focused two day program that focuses on the distances encountered in most handgun engagements. Heavy emphasis is placed on deployment of the handgun from concealment, close distances, movement and close-proximity to structures, other persons and vehicles. It features extensive use of reality-based scenarios, shooting house work including low light shooting, vehicles, and moving/reactive target engagement. Scenarios requiring interaction with role players and shoot/no-shoot decision making will be conducted. Attendees must have completed Defensive Handgun I (prior completion of Defensive Handgun II is strongly encouraged). Successful completion of previous comparable training may be considered.
During this course you will gain a thorough exposure to defensive handgun use, including the following topics:

Shooting from asymmetrical positions
Off Angle Off Axis Shooting
Malfunctions
Movement
Close Quarters Retention Shooting and fighting off the line of attack

Vehicle and Enclosed Spaces
Scenario Based Training
Moving Targets
Weapon and Support Side Manipulations
Firing under time compression
Most of the shooting is at extreme close distance (between contact and 10 yards) with an emphasis on fighting numerous assailants in compressed time frames.
Please note that the class size is limited and pre-registration is required due to the "one on one" nature of this course.

Course Requirments:
Centerfire Handgun in a minimum defensive caliber (generally, 9mm or .38spl or larger, with some exceptions.
Ammunition as required per the course is 700+ rounds.
Proper holster, magazine pouches and belt
Method of concealing the handgun
Ear and Eye Protection (Electronic ears are recommended but not required).
Rugged Shoes or boots
Fowl weather gear
Lunch, Drinks and Snacks
Optional comfort Items.
Knee/elbow pads
Flashlight

Cost: $400 for the complete three day course.
