I'm looking for a flashlight that can more easily allow for my support hand to help grip the pistol. I've narrowed my choices down to the Surefire Z2X and the Fight Light Tomahawk GP/ST (not sure if the strobe function is useful at all). Any suggestions as to which one gives you better control of both the light and the gun? I also would like the light to be used for EDC as well.

I'm open to other suggestions as well, as long as it's within the similar price range. Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys. Is it because of Surefire's long proven track record?

Also, what about the GZ2X (polymer version). Aside from cost, any pros and cons vs the aluminum version?

Thanks in advance!

The Surefire is a top notch light, but the change in hand placement with that light is difficult for some (me included.) The Tomahawk would allow for more natural hand placement.

The Border Patrol issued the Tomahawk to it's K-9 handlers in San Diego a few years back. I heard no complaints other than having to pop for their own 123's when Uncle Sugar ran out of cash 3/4 of the way through the fiscal year.
