3x fixed magification range.

All,
I would like to hear thoughts on the limits of range when using 3x fixed for any scope. Good or bad. Pictures would be nice as well if possible. I am trying to get some sort of perspective on what the picture looks like. I am trying to decide on a possible first time buy of a Trijicon for one of my ARs.

Ok, I found the picture that I needed. The thread I found gave me a good perspective with pictures. It also coincided with the same ACOG that I was interested in.

it will be 3 times the size of what ever you are looking at with the naked eye. or appear 3 times closer.

so for those who say they have no trouble using a RDS at 100 yards, this will allow them to go to 300 yds.
