Franken-VCAS Setup Questions

I've read various setups and threads where guys put HK hooks on the VCAS and I am interested in trying this out but want to make sure I get the right things. Do you just need the sling and two HK hooks and thread them on or do you need the buckled adaptors? Will the HK hooks work with an RSA/ASAP mount or do you need different sling attachments?

I rigged up HK hooks on a VCAS for my UMP. You CAN use 1" hooks(most HK's are 1") and they'll work just fine. Don't have the Magpul goodies so can't answer part B.
