Description of knife: This is a cold steel - Oyaban - made in Taiwan. It comes with a heavy duty riveted sheath & 26" adjustable strap. The knife is 14" overall with a 9" blade. The Japanese word Oyabun means boss - a larger & slightly thicker version of Kobun, the oyabun features a high double sided hollow ground bevel thats thin at the edge to facilitate razor sharpness. The Oyabun handle has a deeply checkered kraton surface with an internal liner of zytel. Relatively thin overall, the handle is deeply contoured in cross section to enhance grip strength & control.
