Ok heregoes... I have a Spikes SBR with a 10.5" barrel 5.556 it has a 10" SAR rail on it. I recently acquired a supressor for it and cannot stand the blowback through the receiver when a round is fired. My question or better yet what advice can be given.. I want to either use a piston setup or switch to an adjustable gas block... either way I want to keep it all shrouded by the rail. Any pros, cons or good all around advice ?

Thanks, Hadley O.

First try a gas buster type charging handle or put some silicon in the gap between the charging handle and upper receiver. This may be a quick fix to your problem. I will try to look for a pic to post.

Would a gasbuster charging handle do anything for ya?

I havent heard of a gasbuster charging handle til you guys mentioned it. I might try one anyways. I was mainly looking more towards something that slowed the gases down and reduced recoil.

Gasbuster or RTV/siliconed charging handle plus one of these (http://www.weaponoutfitters.com/collections/ar-15-upper-receiver-parts/products/ar-gas-vent) apparently works pretty well. You lose the functionality of the forward assist however.
