Hey hey,

I noticed the other day that the mount has VERY slight north to south movement on the rail. I mean, we're talkin' less than 1/16th of an inch but it's STILL movement!!!!

I tightened it but to no avail....This ain't good.

What's up???

Rail out of spec?

It's an Armalite M15A4...I know they aren't Noveske, LMT, Colt, etc. but gimme a break...

It sounds like you just need to tighten it a little more. Push it towards the muzzle until it stops, tighten it a little more, and you should be GTG. You should not be able to move it front to back once it is tightened. And it doesn't matter to the Larue mount if your rail is out of spec, or not.

Keep tightening in small increments until you hit the sweet spot where it doesnt move.

Normal.

What you need to do is make certain that the mount is placed in the correct position, (I either do extreme North, or extreme South), then tighten the lever down pretty good so the mount won't move. When re-mounting make certain to push the mount to extreme north or south, then throw the lever to lock it down.
