I just ordered some Slip 2000 EWL in a recent shipment, and while I was searching for someone who actually had it in stock, I found this Drilube stuff. It apparently leaves a teflon film on the treated surfaces.

Has anyone had any experience with it?

Key Features:

Teflon-based lubricant provides a tough, non-congealing film without the residue of dry graphite lubes
Keeps firearms functioning dependably to -40°F
Available in: 4 oz. aerosol can

Its not impressive stuff. Definitely a no go for an AR.

Not an answer to your question but a nice "slick-film forming" lube I have come to really like is FrogLube. You may want to check it out.

I use it on a Ruger 10/22 and a Ruger Mark II. It's good on these rimfires because it doesn't seem to accumulate crud like an oil does. I have not tried it in any centerfire rifles.
