Anyone ever done this? It looks like all you would need are longer screws and you would be able to mount it straight to the tube with the included plates. You would need to do it with the rail off, but it would sit lower vs the picatinny adapter & won't cost $50 (IWC's mount). A little loctite and it looks GTG.
