here is a little info and upcoming training opportunity for the class i just took .


COMBAT CARBINE
This course, which is taught by veteran special operations soldiers with years of military and law enforcement firearms training experience, builds basic rifle fighting skills for beginners and refreshes and challenges experienced warriors. Marksmanship fundamentals are taught and stressed. Students will leave with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to prevail in a gunfight.

Topics covered include:
•Firearms and range safety
•Weapons operation and maintenance
•Zero theory and procedures
•Use of optics and iron sights
•Marksmanship fundamentals, including stance and various shooting positions
•Basic ballistics/ trajectory and appropriate point-of-aim adjustments (holds)
•Engagement of targets from CQB range to 300m+ (range dependent)
•Combat reloads
•Immediate action/ malfunctions
•Use of cover
•Multiple target engagement
•Transition to handgun
•Shooting on the move

Cost: $400 per student.

Prerequisites: None. HOWEVER, students should have at least a basic understanding of marksmanship fundamentals and of their weapon (including loading, clearing, and safey shooting and operating). Contact us if you aren't sure if you're ready. This course is open to military, law enforcement, and lawfully armed citizens.

Equipment/ Ammunition Requirements:
•Quality, serviceable rifle with sling, 7 good magazines, and 1,000 rounds of ammunition;
•Handgun with holster, at least 3 magazines, and 300 rounds of ammunition;
•Plate carrier, chest rig, or some other way to carry and access rifle mags;
•Duty belt with handgun mag pouches, or some other way to carry and access handgun mags;
•Wrap-around eye protection;
•Ear protection (muff-style recommended);
•Hat with brim or bill and/ or helmet;
•Body armor is optional but recommended for MIL/ LE).

Notes on Gear: You don't need to go buy body armor, tactical vests, or other gear to take this course. However, you WILL need to be able to carry at least 3 rifle mags and 2 handgun mags on your person. If you don't have this capability, or if you see something on the list that you don't have- CALL US. We may be able to loan you what you need or otherwise help you out. If you are an armed professional who utilizes certain tactical gear when you work, we recommend that you bring it and train with it. Not all training will require kit, though, so try to have some pouches to train 'slick'.

In accordance with International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) Regulations, only U.S. Citizens may participate in Telluric Group courses.

A concealed carry permit OR a military or law enforcement ID, OR a letter from your local law enforcement agency confirming that you may legally possess a firearm are required for this and all Telluric Group courses.
