A few weeks back I stopped in at my LGS and inquired about the price of the new Savage 110 FCP .338 LM and availability. Low and behold I get an answer back last Monday with a quite acceptable price of $1200 and we have one sitting here waiting (they know me well) so it became mine.

Ordered up a Vortex Viper PST 6.5-24x50 and a set of the Seekins made Vortex Precision Matched low rings. After a insufferably long wait of a few days and the weekend everything was in today and it has become this

Tomorrow will be zeroing and taking it out to 600yds, can't wait for the results.

Not a bad looking stock on that Savage. When I initially got my Savage 10FP, the plastic stock was the first thing that had to go. But that stock on yours looks like it might be a better stock.

Let us know how it shoots.

I've been eyeing one of those too, but can't find one in stock. Read some interesting things about this rifle on the Hide, notably that it likes 300 gr bullets and requires many rounds before you start getting consistent sub-MOA groups. Let us know how yours performs.

It's a HS Precision stock hence the HS Precision in the name.
