MFS AMMUNITION 223 REMINGTON (5.56X45) 62 GRAIN SOFT POINT ZINC PLATED STEEL CASE

I've bought MFS ammo .45 acp and its pretty good, a little cheap looking and unsure about the whole "Match" claims, but it was inexpensive and shot well.

I read rumors its made in the same factory as wolf ammo. Anyone got any more information on this ammo?

I'm just looking for cheap range/plinking ammo. Any help great appreciated...thx

I've used up nearly 500rds of the 55gr FMJ.

I believe it's the same ammo as "Silver Bear" ammo.

Yep should be the same as Silver Bear, and RUAG Ammotec Precision Ammunition.
Both of the latter can usually be found for less in my experience.

3 different importers of the same ammo

If it's the same as Silver Bear then I'd say it's GTG. It's a little dirty and smelly like most cheap ammo......however, the zinc coated stuff has always cycled very well for me.

I have used MFS .45ACP FMJ +P 230gr. For several years. Bought 4000rounds. When they were mfg in East Tenn. They returned to Hungery and started to mfg under the name of MFS 2000. I now have about 3500 9mm 115 gr FMJ round that I use for practice. They have heavy copper cases that are great for reloading. Their 9mm is loaded to CIP standards. Hotter than SAAMI. All of this ammo is Brass Cased. I have not used their steel cased ammo.

MFS 2000 is different, it has brass cases.

This stuff is imported from Russia and is steel cased

saddlerocker: Thanks for the heads up. On the steel cased ammo.

My refference to MFS ammo mgf in Tenn. Was all brass cased, And sold under the name IntracArmsInternational MFS.

I do not use any steel cased ammo. As I started reloading again a few years ago. But MFS 2000 is good well mfg. ammo. and I saw last night Cabela has 9mm ammo under $10.00 per box of 50. That is cheap enough.

Safe Shooting Always.
