EOTECH 551

How does this optic stack up to the rest of the Eotechs? I have been reading a lot about the Eotech but I really don't know the difference between the different models other than the type of battery used and weather or not it is NV compatible. The 551 seems to have all of the features of the other models i.e. 553, 552 and is more in my price range. I just need some opinions. Thank you.

The N cells leak, uggghhh! They are NV and have a small profile which is nice.

511 and 551 use N size batteries.

512 and 552 use AA batteries.

511/551 are physically smaller (shorter) than 512/552.

AA's are more available, cheaper, and (reportedly) have more runtime than N's.

Do you really need NV capability? If so, get the 55x eotech.
